I use these for around the house, or taking a short walk with my dogs in the yard. They have not made my feet wet, and I have walked through very wet grass several times in them. They do keep my feet very warm and I do not need to add socks on my feet. I bought my mom a pair because she has really cold feet, and she LOVES these boots and uses them all the time.
